Roberta Willis is serving her seventh term as State Representative for the 64th District representing the towns of Salisbury, Sharon, Kent, Falls Village, Goshen, Cornwall, Norfolk, North Canaan and Torrington. She is the Co-Chair of Higher Education and Employment Advancement and a member of the Appropriations Committee and the Environment Committee.

Raised in the Northwest corner of Connecticut, Roberta has always been deeply connected to and committed to her community. She serves on the NW Arts Council Board, the Advisory Board of Sharon Hospital, the 21st Century Fund for students at Housatonic Valley Regional High School, the Northwest CT Community College Advisory Board and Foundation, the Housatonic Youth Service Bureau and the Women’s and Girls’ Fund of the Community Foundation of NW Connecticut. Roberta is a Honorary Member of FFA (Future Farmers of America).

Roberta began her career as a legislative aide, in the classrooms in Region #1 schools and as a community activist. She co- founded the children’s environmental health organization, Mothers and Others for a Livable Planet, a national advocacy group that grew to 38,000 members.

Representative Willis graduated from Northwestern Connecticut Community College in Winsted and received their Alumni Award for Community Service.

Roberta received her BA in political science from Vassar College, NY in 1979. She is the mother of four and a grandmother of four. She and her husband Bill reside in Lakeville.
